Yes, I did. I killed Emilee's fish. I was trying to help her clean out the bowl, and her fish, aka "Noodles", did a lovely double flip with a twist right into the kitchen sink...down the drain! I felt so bad. So I promised her another pet and she told me she would like a lizard or gerbil...I don't think so. I've had both and neither one are very kid friendly. So I think we have decided on a parakeet. This way, there is no water or drains involved. Let's just hope the bird doesn't decide to fly the coop!

Amy that sounds like something I would do. I can see the whole thing going down in my mind and all the drama that would ensue,at least in my house. I had a parakeet growing up they are good pets. Tell Emily we are sorry about the fish but she will love the bird.
Oh no! Poor Noodles...ha ha! She will like the bird better because it will interact with her more. And yes, the sister is LANAE with the rock...ha ha!
Oh my gosh! I bet you died. That is one of those things that you will look back on and, well maybe not laugh. I always had birds growing up. She will love having a bird waking her up in the morning. They are fun.
Oh, Amy! I just did the same thing with Koby's fish!!! I was cleaning the tank, and I think when I put him back in, the water was too warm, cause he flipped all over the place, and then went belly up. I felt SO bad! I know how you feel...it's horrible! I think a bird would be so fun to have!!! Let us know how it works out!
That is sad. Was the disposal going or something, because if it wasn't maybe you could have reached in a got it, no chance if the disposal was going. OOPS! Sad. Not much you could have done. Love Mom
I had to laugh at that. Sorry Emily, better luck with the bird. =)
Sorry about the fish Olympics! Thank goodness kids are easily distracted... hope the bird goes over well!
