Killed A Fish

Yes, I did. I killed Emilee's fish. I was trying to help her clean out the bowl, and her fish, aka "Noodles", did a lovely double flip with a twist right into the kitchen sink...down the drain! I felt so bad. So I promised her another pet and she told me she would like a lizard or gerbil...I don't think so. I've had both and neither one are very kid friendly. So I think we have decided on a parakeet. This way, there is no water or drains involved. Let's just hope the bird doesn't decide to fly the coop!

Happy Father's Day!

Just wanted to let all of the special father's in my life to know that I love them and am grateful for all they do. To my dad who has always been a great example of patience and love. And to my husband who always seems to roll with the punches with a smile on his face. How lucky I am to have these people in my life. I love you!!

Play Ball !

He hates to take pictures. :)

Hey, we are getting somewhere, at least he stopped for a picture.

Playing shortstop

Playing third base

Haydn has the same # Delon did in school...#12.

Haydn had his first baseball game Tuesday night. He was really excited to go...which was a good sign. His team name is the Royals and he has quite a few friends from school on his team. It was a chilly night, but Haydn played really well and actually surprised us a bit with his hitting skills. I don't think he has played since about 3 yrs ago when he was on a t-ball team. Good job Haydn...we are proud of you for getting out there and having a good time!

Eight is Great!

Diggin' in!

This look was a permanent fixture on Jake's face this day.

The man of the hour!

Haydn and Riley hangin' out. (Nice church socks Riley)

The three stooges...you're silly Sydnee! (Gracie, Sydnee and Lily)

Playing with Sydnee's Polly Pockets

Wow, no table manners at all...wonder who they got that from?

Aunt Kayla and Grandma

Landon and Caleb

Proud parents

The finished product...looks pretty good. :)

Haydn was a little nervous...can you tell?

Well, Haydn is now a member of the church. He was baptized May 31st with friends and family there to support him.
Haydn is the 2nd of our children to be baptized, and he was a little nervous about the whole "dunking" experience, but he did a great job. It's definitely a great moment when you see your child dressed in white anxiously awaiting their turn. Of course, there is something about the way they look right after...dressed in their Sunday best and a look of contentment on their face.
Later that morning we went to Mack Park (one of my favorite places) and had lunch and conversation. The food was great and the company even better!
I just want to let everyone who came to know that we appreciated you being there and are grateful to you for taking the time to come and share a special day with us.

Officially eligible for kindergarten!

You'd think he graduated from cooking school with a bowl and Fruit Loops on his head!

Yeah, preschool is over, done, finished...outta here! I've had to force Riley to finish out the last two months of preschool because he insisted that it was time for him to attend kindergarten. Thank goodness it is finally his time. This poor kid is so restless, he needs something to do more than just 2-3 times a week. He's beginning to wear me out. I have completely run out of creative ideas... sorry Gracie and Jake. Nothing can hold Riley's attention for very long, so I hope he has a patient and understanding kindergarten teacher, or else I will be receiving several phone calls I'm afraid. Riley will definitely keep things interesting. We love you Riley...you made it!

Haydn's Debut

Check him out with the Hula Hoop...he's really concentrating on those fluid movements.

I love Haydn's smile !

Delon and I went to see Haydn's classroom skit, "Celebrating Friendship", for the end of the year. For those of you who know Haydn, he's not the performing type, so I wasn't expecting much. Well, Haydn surprised us and participated in the program like he had a been doing it his entire life. He sang, used sign language, memorized poems...and enjoyed himself!! Wow, maybe Haydn is finally learning to have a little fun. :)

Eight Years Old Already!

As you can see, we ran out of candles, so we did 5 + 3 = 8...lame, I know. But he didn't care. :)

Haydn's birthday was on the 19th. He is now 8 yrs. old and I can't believe it! I remember the day he was born...like it was yesterday. He was a beautiful baby, so sweet and mild mannered. He never cried and always smiled. Now he is maybe not so mild mannered, but is a wonderful big brother. Haydn is such a smart and curious child and I love that he likes to learn and ask so many questions. We are grateful to have Haydn in our family and we are glad that he is excited to be baptized. What a blessing it is to be a member of the church. Happy Birthday Haydn!!
